Fastbreak Basketball Coventry

Welcome to Fyffes Fastbreak Basketball Club Coventry.

Fastbreak provides an opportunity for young people in and around Coventry to develop their basketball playing and coaching skills.

Fyffes Fast Break Basketball Club was formed in February 2001 by England Basketball Senior Coach, Rob Bromfield.

Sport England Club Mark Award

Parents and carers can be confident that their children are attending a top quality club.

Fastbreak basketball club provides a wide range of activities for players of all abilities and ages, both boys and girls, always looking to provide a safe, child friendly atmosphere for young people to develop and express themselves to their full potential both as players and coaches.

Rob, who coaches thousands of young people across the Coventry and Warwickshire area started the club to provide interested young people the opportunity to not only play basketball outside of school but to also provide the chance for young people to develop both their playing skills and to also provide an opportunity for people to develop their coaching skills within the club.

Club Awards & Accreditations

The basketball club runs a very successful coach mentoring programme which provides an opportunity for young club members to start out on the coaching ladder.

This programme was set up in conjunction with sport coach uk and Greater Warwickshire Sport. The basketball club provides playing opportunities for children and young people from the age of 4 – 18 years of age, both boys and girls.

In November 2003, the club was awarded 3 Star status by England Basketball which was very quickly followed by the announcement that the club had achieved the coveted Sport England Club Mark Award.

Indeed we were the first basketball club in the West Midlands and only the third club in the country to attain this award.

Advanced SOS Defensive System DVD

Bob Kloppenburg's advanced version of his original SOS defense takes defensive pressure to a level never before seen. Based on extreme ball pressure, you will learn the key elements that make this defense so successful.

Kloppenburg begins with the base Go "I" and introduces basic rules. The foundation of this system is based on passing lane denial, keeping the ball in the box, fronting the post and trapping. Kloppenburg dissects more than 15 popular offenses to illustrate the SOS's versatility and effectiveness against all possible offensive strategies. The SOS can dismantle the UCLA, Princeton, Flex, and Triple Post offense by executing the principles offered in this instructional DVD.

Kloppenburg's SOS is the result of years of coaching at the high school, college and NBA levels. If you want to disrupt and defeat your opponent's offense, this defensive system is for you.

Running Time: 85 minutes. Released: 2009
